Yes, if you want them charging.

The battery use switch must be turned on for the coach's lights, refrigerator,furnace, A/C, vent fans etc. to work. Even though a/c and refrigerator are running on shore power the thermostat and fridge control panel need 12 volts to operate

Not true. If on SP the converter will supply the 12 VDC to the DC buss regardless of the position of the battery disconnect switch. With SP connected and the disconnect switch (relay) open the battery will not be charged but everything else should work.
