Battery Replaced

Hello Friends, I replaced the 12V battery and it seemed successful. However the beeper for dangerous fumes went off and slider did not work. Any thoughts about what happened? Thank you all.

Kevin

Did you get the connections completely tight?
Did you happen to touch a wrench to anything that might have acted like a ground? (lots of sparks...)

Put a charger on it overnight, and see if it wakes things up...

Hi Bob, Thanks for your reply. No, no sparks. I was actually surprised that did not happen, given my clumsiness. Everything seemed good. Three days on the battery wore it down. I found that odd.
