bed room slide issue on thor coach 2017 Palazo

my bed room slide will only move 5" out or in before the motor stals. timed motors several times to no avail.

checked both harnesses and they look new no kincks pulled both motors and plugged them in seperately and they work. if I reset the the controller both motors work good until the flashing lights stop.

I have ordered to new harnesses and 2 new motors. The controller was replaced already.

the controller has 8 red flashing lights indicating electrical issue

has anyone experienced this issue?

We experienced a similar problem and it turned out that the slide topper awning release latch was getting caught and preventing the awning from unrolling which also prevented the slide from opening. The setscrew in the latch had loosened enough to allow the latch to swing sideways, which is how it got caught on the bracket that holds the awning roll.

That is usually a symptom of a frayed cable. The five wire cable runs down a chase in the inside wall next to the slide. At the bottom of the wire guide, the cable exits next to the bottom lower gear rack. If either cable is not properly clamped to the bed side floor, will rub on the lower gear rack and gradually fray. If the wire exposed is the Hall power or Hall sense, the slide will move a few inches and stop displaying a 8 or 9. The slide should work fine in emergency override until you find the frayed section.
