Clear Coat THOR grill

I am preparing the front grill work on my THOR ACE. There are multiple scratches. During oil changes the mechanics dragged fill hoses across the surface and scratched pretty good.

Any suggestions on applying clear coat to this plastic surface? I sprayed a few test pieces with gloss spray. The clear coat hardens and would be a protective coat.

There are 5 bolts holding this on, i removed the grill and is in my shop. I have cleaned and prep. After the spray, I plan on using some clear vinyl bumper tape to protect leading edge from stones and abuse.

Sounds like a good plan to me... provided the clear coat you're using is compatible with the plastic, and the plastic surface is properly prepped. Go for it!
