Rotted Compartment Floors

I found out about this problem on the Thor Aria Facebook page but have not seen much about it here but I might have missed it. It may be limited to the Aria line, too. In any case I want to start a thread about it in case there are unsuspecting Aria owners on the forum who are not way of it.

Once I knew to check, I found my right front compartment was in pretty bad shape. The first thing I did was to go on Amazon and order some double-bulb door seal. AP Products 0121.2137 018-181-BB It took three boxes (25' each) to do all the compartments that have wooden floors (or floors at all). On the damaged floor, I have gotten everything torn out/removed and I am busy sealing/resealing everything I can while a wait for some composite material to use on the floor (versus plywood). I used NP-1 caulk to seal the top and bottom of the pass-thru compartment. I also fabricated a patch to close up a hole in the splash guard that allowed water from the front wheel to hit the wall of the affected compartment. My goal was to stop as much water as I can before it can reach any compartment.

I can't seal the outside of this compartment once the walls are installed so I will caulk it where it attaches to the frame. Once reassembled I plan to raise all the leveling jacks and spray Flex Seal on all of the exposed compartment edges where they sit on the frame. I also put two coats of Flex Seal on the outside of the factory foam at the top where the chassis frame passes through the pass-thru compartment.

I'll try attaching some my photos. Hope this helps someone the way the Facebook info helped me.
