Broken Shower Sunroof

Hi folks,
While putting my cover on my RV my friend kicked my skylight over the shower and broke it. Where would you recommend going to get a replacement.
I am in Mountain Grove Missouri about an hour from Springfield. Or if you know someplace online I could order it from.
Thanks for any help,
Jeanie

Try
Etrailer.com
And
Amazon.

Measure first.

If you're not going to install it yourself just duct tape it well and drive it to an independent repair place and let them handle it all. They'll have wholesale sources for the skylight.

This IS NOT something that has to go to a dealer.

Remember the "RV rule of thumb"...

If it broke, it needed replaced anyway!

...or something like that. I agree about just taping it up (black Gorilla tape is great) and moving forward.

Thieves broke out the skylight over the shower in our motorhome some years back. We believe they lowered a kid down the opening so the door could be unlocked from inside. They found nothing to steal as the flat-screen TVs were old and heavy. Basically worthless. The point is...

There were two, inside and outside, opaque to limit sun's heat. I ordered both from a dealer, would probably order online now. An easy install, thorough cleaning and plenty of self leveling Dicor on top.

X2 it was probably already brittle. I would also check the vents and their gaskets as well. They are probably sun baked as well. Better to be preventative then discover a leak later on.

Just google sky lights for rv's and you will see an assortment of them. You are going to have to measure your old one in order to get the right size. I replaced my old white one with a tinted one. They are relatively cheap. Good luck

I just ordered a clear one from Amazon at just a tad under a hundred for an 18 x 26. They offered white, clear and smoke in that size. Our rig is pretty dark so I'm hoping to let a bit more light in as well. Personal preference I suppose.

Perhaps the term, "Un-Handyman" is somewhat appropriate...

Thank you all for the great advice. I was smart enough to put vent covers over my vents to protect them from sun and rain.
I have the measurements now will work on finding them online.

On ours, there is an inner, and an outer. They had original domed height of about 6 inches. The outer one cracked and got broken. I went to Camper World and they could get me one in a couple days, thing is, they were no longer as tall as my original.

Needless to say, I had to buy both, because the new one only came in about a 3 inch domed height. Installed both by myself.

I don't use mine for a shower. I use it for storage and when I camp with my cats it's where the litter Box goes so I don't care about the heights. I do like it being a skylight though for the light. I belong to Camping World so I will check them out. Thank you for your reply.

It's a secret society with a special decoder ring. When you buy an RV from CW one of the forms you sign puts your family in the indentured servant class for 2 years. Longer if you get the ISP (often confused with ESP or extended warranty) Indentured Servant Program.

You're welcome on the reply.

We use ours for a storage area too, I was just mentioning about the fact if it is a tall dome, good luck! I'm 6'2" and fit, but I always hit the public use showers, it's just me.

Us too. Unlimited hot water and more room in campground showers.
