Canceling Good Sams Extended Warranty

I have a Thor Miramar 2017. 37.1 6.8 V10. Not one issue over the past year. Getting ready to cancel Good Sams extended Warranty. It’s a $1000 deductible. $115 a month.

Is this a smart move.

It's 'towed', not toad.

California law says you get the unused time or milez whichever benefits the warrnay company back as cash no matter any claims you've had.
If you have a lien, the money goes to the lienholder to be used against your loan principal.

IMHO, yes.

Imagine if you take that $115 a month and put it in a separate RV Fixit Fund account and let it grow when not being used...........

No one on this forum can tell you if something is a good move for you.

Ask yourself if you can afford a 3000.00 repair bill and then make your decision yourself.

Ok say in a year if have a $3000 repair, at $115 a month in a year you'd have 1/2 of that in the bank that you have control of how to spend it, no exclusions, no hassles.

You also toss in the chance (probability) that Good Sam can't respond in the boonies when you need them. They have that exclusion in the fine print...no guarantee.

I would only rely on your own expenses.
We are not qualified to answer this

I have the Good Sam Extended Service Plan (ESP), which will expire soon, and I don't plan to renew it.
My class C has been in the shop several times, and the ESP has covered almost nothing. Most of my problems have been structural -- front cap separation, slideout issues, sliding door tracks ripping out of ceiling, storage compartments leaking, etc. Plus some smaller issues like window blinds failing. The ESP didn't cover any of these things.

The ESP covers equipment like the fridge, furnace, water heater, etc., but not the structural issues. My fridge failed once, but I fixed it myself with a new temperature sensor. I've also replaced a failed induction cooktop and repaired the microwave (blown internal fuse). If a mechanical or electrical component fails, I prefer to get the parts and fix it myself if I can, since it can take months to get an RV service appointment and I don't want my RV to be out of commission while I wait.
So for me personally, the Good Sam ESP has not been worth it.
