Caulk sides, fenders

I'm getting ready to caulk the "fenders" and other areas on the sides on my 2015 Axis 24.1

Has anyone run a screw or two to hold the bottom in place?

From the fender to the rear where the chassis angles inward there's about 3/8" gap. Should I, can I run a couple of screws in that bottom peice to pull it back together, then caulk it, or vice versa. Caulk it then screw it down

Thanks

Run screws anywhere you can.
Cover with silicone caulk.

A secret few know of silicone caulk(or whatever you're using) is that latex paint can be mixed with it to match any color. Doing this will hide screws and the flare/body joint.

Just do a squirt of caulk on some cardboard and add drops of paint until it matches.

Or

My zr2 has large head rivets holding the flares on.
They are now a decorative nuance that you couldn't pull loose without just short of a winch.

The rivets come in many colors.

i got some self tapping 1" lathe screw.

Now I have to figure out what will remove the geocell. I got it on my hands and made a mess in places on the RV. That stuff won't come off. I even tried some Pro strength goop off

I bought this due to a forum recommendation.
The two of them(one is none) arrived today.
Seems heavy duty enough.
I don't have anything I need it for right now.
Buy it, try it, report back to us.

I use mineral spirits. I always keep a gallon handy. Then wash the mineral spirit residue off with diluted Dawn detergent.
