Ceramic Coating

Today I had the Windsport washed and waxed by a professional detailer. Everything looks great when he was finished except the front fiberglass cap. It dosen't come up as well as the rest of the coach, he suggested having the front cap ceramic coated. Has anyone tryed this?

Come up as well? Less of a shine like it is oxidized?

Yes it was oxidized, he used 3m Marine Restorer to remove the oxidation and then Rejex wax afterward. The finish is just not as glossy as the rest of the rest of it is.

Just as a test, I tried a 3' by 3' area on the side of our this spring with a sample that was given me. I could still see that area this fall when I was getting ready to cover it for the winter. It seemed to stay cleaner and definitely repelled water, even after at least 5 washes. So I bought some. I only did the front before I put the unit away for the winter. It is really easy and quick to apply. I will do the rest of the coach in the spring. I also put it on my old Datsun, even though it never sees the rain.

Get a product called Miracle Cloth. I used it on my boat for 12 years.

It is called TEC582 Ceramic Detail Spray. By the way, I washed it this weekend and the bugs on the front just rinsed off. I am impressed.

I just used this for the first time last week, read reviews and watched a utube video:Meguiars hybrid Ceramic wax.
https://www.meguiarsdirect.com/megui...wax-26-oz.html

It’s a spray The first application (after wash) you basically spray wipe it on . Let it “dry” then wipe off with a micro towel not buffing but just wipe smooth. Then on subsequent applications just spray from bottom up and rinse with water. Super Hydrophobic action.

Ceramic is the way to go. I had a professional ($$$) applied ceramic on my corvette and it’s lasted 4 years a wash takes everything off and the water still beads.
