What does it lock into? I mean, is there any kind of brace or bracket like the one in my pic, or does it simply go behind the wall?

I had no luck with adjusting the existing latch. Maybe it’s better, maybe not. I don’t want to chance it, so I ordered this. I measured and found I need a 1 1/2” deep cylinder to get through the door.

Mike...before you change what everyone else has recommended I have the same latch on my 37tb and had same problem. Super easy fix. The 3rd pic you took of the sliding mechanism attached to the rv not the door is adjustable. Once you found the perfect spot then remove screws and place red loc tite on all your door screws. If not you will eventually lose some. I dis this too all screws on all my cargo doors and 10,000 miles later it has not happened again. Use on loc tite on latch screws also but don't over tighten or the part thst goes in and out will stick.

Thanks Ray (or Anna?)! I tried adjusting that part, but couldn’t get the screw to budge. It’s a T20, I believe (might be T15, my memory isn’t that good). I was afraid I was about to strip it. So the good news is, it’s not going to be falling out any time soon.

Square bit #2 will work on most self tap screws Thor has used. If you look under kitchen drawers or so you will probably find extra laying around but anyhow that is how you can fix from any of your cargo doors from opening while driving down the road. It's not the latch portion it's the part on the rv cargo frame....the 3rd pic you took. Safe travels...

Ray, Yes, we are both talking about the same piece. I will try the square bit you suggested, thanks.
