Check engine light

Went over to storage to do my monthly exercise of the coach
2013 thor tuscany 36 mQ 41k miles
All fluid levels were ok. Started the engine no problem. Let the Jack's up and then back down, to level the coach motor running all the time ,about 10 min or so and advise before taking it to the shop

A CEL can be caused by many things, usually a loose gas cap or defective sensor.

Maybe someone has been messing with your gas cap.
Loosen and tighten it a couple of times. Then go for a test drive to a "easy" entrance/exit auto supply (Autozone, O'Rilley, etc) where they will help you scan for OBD-ll codes.

If the code was caused by a loose cap it might be cleared by the time you get there

The above 13 dollar item and an app called
Torque
Will allow about 300 very cool things plus tell you what your codes are. Post 254 in my signature thread gives you the basics of what marvelous things that 13 buck thing will do for you.
But
I've never ever seen a check engine light fatality.
If it is anything near catastrophic
Limp mode
Kicks in.

Try the gas cap thing, go to the auto place as said above, order the obd2 reader.
But mostly
CHECK BACK HERE WITH THE CORRECT CODES BEFORE PAYING FOR ANYTHING LIKE REPAIRS.

Glad to see that the mystery was solved, and that it cost nothing to fix.

...Other than the cost of the fuel!

I would still recommend getting a reader of your choosing
I get a check engine light when I am really pushing the rig on a hill when towing, or pushing the rig on a downhill with the tranny doing the work
It is always a random misfire
I clear the code when I get to my next stop

If the code continues or I feel the rig running rough or weird, I will then take it in to ford to look at
