Just got a new 2022 axis and the generator isn't starting anymore after it's first 2k mile trip. Using the touchpad, it turns over once or twice but that's it. When using the rocker switch in driver cabin it just keeps on turning without starting. In both cases the gen was primed for 5-30 sec. Does the fuel filter get clogged easily?

Make sure you have more than 1/4 tank of fuel, and check the oil level.

Also, does the status light on the switch flash after a time? These are error codes. Go to the genset and remove the cover, there should be another start switch there.
It could be fuel filter, in a new one that would be debris in the fuel line. If you squeeze the fuel line into the carb and push the switch to prime you should feel the pump pushing the fuel.
Little more troubleshooting needed...

I'll double check the oil level and carb line. Thanks for the suggestions.

No, they recommend 15W-40. Check your owners manual. There is no filter and changing it is an easy DIY project even for someone who doesn’t normally do that sort of thing. Don’t forget to clean your spark arrester. It too is easy and is supposed to be done more often than changing the oil.

Rotor Faults can be several different problems. From control boards to rotor wiring, bad connectors, etc. Of course the corrective action in the manual is to see an authorized Onan dealer but it should be under warranty.
