Supco starter pack SPP6

We were replacing our mattress cover and in the back of our mattress bed when I checked and found a small envelope with a copy of this, i checked and it’s for the A/C is this similar as a soft start, how do we know if these thing goes bad. My A/C in my 24ft Chateau starts normally as far as I know, any suggestions.

I have similar question....
Why purchase a $300 Soft Start vs a $10 Supco capacitor?

What’s the difference? In layman’s terms

I found this thread, but I’m still a bit confused.

the Supco is a capacitor that give the compressor an extra jolt of electricity to get it started. Usually installed on older units. $15.00. Once the compressor starts it does nothing.
A soft start is an electronic device that slowly ramps up the compressor to bring it up to speed. $300.00. once the compressor has started it does nothing.
Both are used in low voltage conditions.

I'm a Master Electrician and I use a Supco.

Thank you for your input. How do you know if it’s still working?
