AC Cover question

Went out and washed the VEGAS today (First bath of spring) and while washing the roof, saw that the cover of the AC unit appears to be "raised"

I don't remember it being this way last fall, and haven't used the AC since then.

I posted a couple of pictures to get some opinions of 1) whether the cover is raised (and needs to be reseated) and 2) if it DOES need to be reseated, how does one go about it?

Any help is much appreciated as unit is now out of warranty

I "think" the one on our ACE looks like that; I'll check tomorrow. If you do have to "fix" it, it will be easy. As I recall there are 2 screws/bolts on the top-rear of the cover that you remove to remove the cover.

I don’t have your model, but most covers I’ve had use several screws on the sides to keep them in place.

I looked at mine this morning and it is exactly like yours so I consider it normal. There are actually 4 stainless screws on the top if you ever do need to remove the covers. There is a front and a rear cover that snap together to make the overall cover.

THANK YOU! I couldn't remember if that was the way it was last year or not.

I just didn't want to lose my cover going down the road.

Still a little ,"gun shy" since we passed our 12 month warranty period and we are now "on our own"

Not that most everything during the first 12 was DIY

The warranty is gone?!?

By now: everything that was going to break early or need fixing; has already been addressed...

It's gonna be smooth sailing for you!
