Love Bugs

Just got back to CocoaBeach,Florida after a three week visit to San Antonio, Texas.
Upon getting back my coach (30FE freedom Elite) was black with Love Bugs. As anyone that has had to deal with washing the darn bugs off ,well, it is not easy ,to say the lease.

Long story short, my daughter suggested I try dryer sheets (the kind you put into the dryer when doing your wash) By golly, they worked!!!!!!

So easy, just wet down the coach and getting the sheet really wet, just wipe the bugs off with a little pressure. It really worked!!

After bugs are off wash the coach as if it was just a normal lite wash.

Now I'm going to do the same with my cars.

Best of luck ,

Yep, had the same experience coming back from Fort Wilderness to Fort Myers. Front was black with bugs. Dryer sheets worked well, but too a lot of effort. Check your radiator too.

Definitely check the radiator. Might not hurt to put some hardware cloth between the grill and radiator to catch most of the critters.

Avon Skin So Soft is great stuff for the bugs. Wipe it on the front end and the bugs won't stick. Wash them right off.

We do not use dryer sheets in the laundry, so we don't keep them around.
Someone once told me to use baking soda, wetted, on a cotton cloth rag.
It works for us and not too much elbow grease involved.

If I know im going to be driving through them I spray the front of the coach with Pam cooking spray (does not affect the finish) then just hose the bugs off. Do not use on windshield.
