Clean Black water Tank
When I emtpy my black water tank and flush with copious amounts of grey/fresh water, the indicator light still shows 3 or even 4 lights indicating near full. This is on a Class C Chateau 2017 29G. I watch the drain pipe buck and snort and I hear the rush of "water", but still.
Just moments ago I went to an RV dump site and filled the blackwater tank with a few gallons of fresh water. Drained the tank again and then used the tank cleaner attachment for the water hose (the one that works like a sprinkler head) and ran it up and down as far as I could. The result: Empty indicator light. Success.
My question is am I getting a false positive in the first place since I believe the tank was already empty? Or did I splash something off the sensor inside the tank?
Your wisdom will be appreciated.

Here is what I have found works. Just before leaving the site it dump the black water and use the black tank flush. Close the knife valve, put a 1/2 cup of dishwasher liquid in the toilet and add 2 to 3 gallons of water. After a day on the road the tanks is spotless and the level indicator works fine.

I agree: your sensors are probably just "mucked-up", and need some extra attention.
If you can throw in a couple of bags of ice cubes with the water and soap: it'll help to "slosh things clean"...

We have the San-T-Flush so I first make sure I am at least 2/3 full before initial dump. If not, I run water into the tank using the San-T-Flush. Once drained, I use the San-T-Flush to fill the tank back up to 2/3 and dump again. I'll repeat one more time depending on how the water looks after the first rinse.
I then put about 5 gallons of water in the black tank and my wife adds a concoction of Dawn dish soap and Calgon liquid water softener and we leave the campground and let it do the work.
The liquid Calgon is very slippery and helps keep anything from clinging to the sides of the tank. So far it has been working well.

I think every RVer has experienced this issue. The following is a solution that we have found success with: prior to traveling, and once the tanks have been emptied and rinsed, we pour 1/2 cup of dishwasher detergent in the grey and black tank along with approximately 1/3 of a tank of water in each. We have been using Palmolive eco dishwasher gel (it is inexpensive). Dishwasher detergent does not suds up like dishwashing liquid does. Once at our next location it requires only a quick emptying and rinsing of the tanks. Works every time.
We came across this method on a YouTube site by "RV Geeks".

Anything to "Slick-Up" the tank walls, and keep stuff from sticking...

Update. As soon as I put digester/sanitizer and two toilet bowls of water, 3 light lit up.
