Cummins Onan Generator Tailpipe Hanger Bracket

Hey all,
On the road for month long trip and currently in Waco, Texas a few days into the trip. Somewhere along the way I either hit a pothole or road debris, and noticed a small dent in the exhaust pipe for the generator. Not a big deal and doesn't affect performance at all. My question is, does this bracket look normal or is the top of this bracket supposed to be mounted to something. If someone can look at theirs and compare? I'm not sure if it separated from the body when this dent occurred. I just don't want the pipe to be riding lower than it's supposed too. Thanks.

The top of the bracket should be mounted to support the tailpipe. I'm pretty sure mine is on the frame right where yours goes up.

ok I figured because it doesn't make sense the way it appears now...Ill just swing by a muffler shop or RV store, I am sure its a quick fix.

Mine had two lightweight screws just screwed into the wall material. Mine caught on my driveway where the two bolts point down on the clamp around the pipe. Got rid of the old hanger and used an improvised water hose clamp. All appears okay now.
