Squeaky Dinette Table

Members,
The dinette table in our Thor 31F squeaks constantly while driving and while being used. The squeak comes from the mounting area along the wall. I've thought about spraying it with silicone but most of those products pack quite a smell if they are intended for automotive use, at least. So I'm wondering about using a fabric spray that is silicone based or a water proofing silicone that typically has less odor...
Have any of you used this or any other approach to help silence this particular or any other interior squeak?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts or tips.

Lowering mechanism probably causing squeak!?

My Hurricane was the exact same way! Squeaked constantly and was very irritating for a brand new coach! This is my fix!

I took a wooden shim and cut it down lengthwise. I inserted it in the mechanism under the table where the lowering release handle is (See pic). It worked like a charm. Now even the bumpiest roads does not get a sound from the dinette!Click image for larger version

I was about to go with the wood wedge, but decided to look more deeply into the source of the squeak.
I found the unit only squeaked when it was fully up in locked position, which told me that the problem wasn't in the mechanism's designed movement points, but something in that uppermost locked position.
So, I took a bit of silicone spray that I had put onto a paper towel and rubbed the area's surfaces. Voila! Squeak gone!

I had same problem with my new Miramar 34.2 (oversized table), only squeaked when in full up position. I took a small piece of foam originally made to rap around a 1 inch pipe for insulation and placed it at the rear of the top of the table. It serves to fill the small space behind the table top and wall but placed below the site line and cannot be seen from top. Works great! No noise.
