Customer Complaint

Does anyone have a number for Thor customer complaint? The number Camping World gave me ended up with “ road service”. I own a Thor Windsport 29M purchased July 2018. During the warranty year I had 38 repair items. Within that time period 4 different technicians at Camping World. An initial item was that both cab windows made a high pitch noise while in the locked position. When slightly opened the noise diminishes. Although it was on our initial list, Camping World could not duplicate the noise. Which I thought they never took it out on the freeway or a transparency issue. On the second visit to CW I again stated that the windows were loud when closed. On that inspection CW verified the noise and said the windows were incorrectly installed. They took a series of pictures and supposedly submitted to Thor. At this point we are on our third technician. Worried that the warranty year was expiring I kept calling the CW technician. After several attempts and days of leaving messages, a new fourth technician returned my call and said I needed to bring the RV back for different angle pictures for Thor, which I did. Subsequently Thor has now rejected the claim due to the warranty expiring. Thank you for anyone that can provide me with the correct Thor customer complaint department number.

There are a myriad of ways of contacting Thor on their website:
https://www.thormotorcoach.com/owners/

I would probably start with the Customer Care line/page: https://www.thormotorcoach.com/customer-care/

Really sounds to me like your beef is with Camping World and not Thor--you only know what "Thor said" from Camping World, not from Thor itself. There are far too many stories similar to yours where the ultimate culprit is Camping World.

The interweb is full of information. Even if you can't navigate a website Goggle is always there to help you get your questions answered. You should have contacted Thor about this issue the first time it was not resolved by the dealer. You should have your previous repair orders handy to prove to Thor that this has been an ongoing issue.

It should be logical that since this problem was discovered (and reported!) during the warranty period: it should be fixed... even though the warranty has now expired.
Good luck!

I know Thor warrants after warranty for obvious installation failures.

How is it the tech you spoke with can't give you the number to his immediate superior or the complaint department?
Did he just out and out say he wouldn't tell you?

Thank you.

The technician gave me the number for Thor but there is no option for Thor. 1 is for Ford, 2 is for Leibert, 3 roadside assistance and no opportunity to leave a message. I talked to a real person yesterday who took my complaint down, then Ford Motor called me. It’s obviously not a Ford issue. Thank you for your help and suggestions. I was able to put a message in electronically on Thor’s website so maybe I will get a response. The message cell limits one to just a few characters so was unable to describe the issues. I will hope for a call.

Thank you. That is the number I have been calling. Twice I end up with roadside assistance. Yesterday after explaining my issues to receptionist I got a call back from Ford Motors. It’s been unreal.

That is true, but I have been unsuccessful in reaching Thor. The number seems to be correct, but received roadside assistance number twice. After talking with a real person they transferred my concern to Ford Motors whom called and left a lengthy message explaining that it’s not a Ford issue, which I knew but that’s who called me back. Twilight Zone!

The number I called for Thor customer service is -
877-855-2867, try to get a specific person to establish a relationship with for this and future needs.
Whenever working with any service company like Camping World or Ford, etc. I always request email copies of any discussion, agreement's or statements or if I don't receive them, I send an email documenting our phone discussion which they must respond to if inaccurate. This way you will have a written record of discussions and understandings, which you will be able to use to support your case with Thor or in legal arbitration.
Best of luck to you!

Customer Complaint

I have started out contacting Thor via email at least 6 or 7 times in the past 18 months and I have gotten responses, action and call backs after every time I made contact.

If it was me I would send a well documented email..... dates, times, places, pictures, issues, etc..... and your VIN number and I would be very polite and ask for help after the dealer failing you for the past 12 months.

I’d bet my next payment you get a response and a good experience from
It.

Here is the email address:

All I could add to this thread is that your issue is the all-so-common CW issue many have had...No Customer Service! Not a Thor issue. But...since several here have already said that...I'll just keep silent.

This reminds me of a joke...
These two old duffers are talking about their aches and pains.
The first one says:
"I can't sleep at night anymore. I toss and turn, and I never settle in for a good night's rest."
The second fella says:
"You're lucky. I sleep like a baby, and wake up every morning at 8:00."
"Why am I so lucky?", asks the first guy.
"Because I usually go to the bathroom at 6:00!"

Tom, The window maybe an easy fix. We had a whistle in both front windows. First I loosened the latch and seemed to fixed it. Then heard that a dry lube will cure the noise, tried that and now our windows are locked and somewhat quiet for a motorhome. I would think you'l have trouble getting any dealer to test drive for wind noise...just my 2 cents.
