Fading vs oxidating

3 years old and the side of my 2015 Hurricane looks like it is 20 years old. Researched online and there are so many products out there with big promises.

Has anyone attempted to restore the outside of your Thor yet? What product did you use? Results????

Darren

You're not alone Darren. I have used wax and mild buffing compounds and most recently Rejex but nothing seems to last much longer than a couple months. I read last month about a product called poli glow. I bought a kit off Amazon but have not tried it yet. I plan to put it on the front and rear caps to try it out. I am a little concerned about a special removal process if you are not happy with it.

Poli Glow

I had this applied on my coach back in April, and my coach looks shiny new. I used this on my prior coach, so I have some experience with it. First application should be 6-7 coats. Less and you won't get the results you want. Every year you will need to apply 2-3 maintenance coats. Application requires following the prep instructions, patience, and a steady hand. I have been very pleased with the results. In between new coats just wash with mild detergent and rinse; I remove the road dirt with Turtle wash and wax, spray on, brush down, rinse off.

Arrrv u are talking about polyglow right? Did you put it on yourself are you the one that had a professional do it. I remember a post in the past. If you did it yourself if you could please post your tips on application it would be greatly appreciated. This is going to be one of my projects this fall when the heat subsides

Poli Glow, part II

I did my boat myself. At this stage I no longer want to spend an entire weekend outside prepping and applying so I let my RV shop do it. Some tips:

Follow the instructions for prepping, all wax and dirt must be gone, if you are badly oxidized you may need to remove it. When in doubt call Poli Glow and they .will provide advice (I called for my boat and first RV and they were very helpful)

When applying, use the applicator, only work on a small area at a time, and apply in small smooth strokes as bubbles are not your friend.

Give it about an hour to dry before adding next coat. Subsequent coats go on faster and easier than the first one.

You do need 6-7 coats for it to have an even, shiny result. Not enough coats and you will look blotchy.

You may want to do a small area as a test--maybe the front end cap.

Good luck. Show pics and brag.
