Dash bouncing

I have a 2015 ACE 27.1 on rough roads the driver side of the dash bounces up and down about a inch. Passenger side is solid but not drivers , I can push it down by hand and it bounces back. Any ideas or experiences out there?

Sounds like you had a few fastners come loose. I would remove the top dash cover then push down and see if there is anyway of getting a fastener in somewhere. Also have somone else push on dash and look from under the dash and see if a fastener can be installed from the bottom also.

Your dash is attached by 6 studs to the wooden dash frame. The studs are glued to the plastic by what appears to be hot glue. JB Weld 5 minute epoxy will work to re-stick the studs. The studs are through bolted to the wooden frame and it takes some detective work to find some of the stud's nuts. Three nuts can be reached by removing the access plate on top of the instrument cluster and the other three are accessed for under the dash.

That sounds like the AMT plastic model cars we put together as kids in the 60's.

That's one of the questions on the job applications Thor uses for manufacturing engineers. "As a child did you like tinker toys and model cars and planes?"

AND...if you ever glued the interior into the model car backwards...did it really upset you?

Make sure the screws in the dash are screwed into wood. One of mine near my knees wasn't screwed into anything. I had to move it over about a half inch to get it into the wood support. My dash moved allot less after that.

Dash problem

Found that the drivers side dash on our 2015 Thor ACE wasn’t attached to much of anything. I drilled thru the wood support into the interior wall and together with the screw and gorilla glue we’ll see how it holds up
