I was lucky to have one of thors electrical genius's wire my coach

I had a couple of 120v outlets that didn't work in the slide so I finally went looking for the problem this is what i found under dinette in elec box

I pulled on the black wire and it came out

I then started to remove the tape and found this

final tally 3 wires not hooked up why it never shorted out and killed the the breaker i guess i was lucky

Somebody needs to remove every roll of black electrical tape from Thor's assembly plant. it doesn't stick well and leaves a black gooey mess on everything it touches.

Well if they did how would they be able to hide a mess like that and i think that gooey mess at least kept the wires from touching causeing a short

Makes you wonder, doesn't it. This is the problem with an unregulated profit driven industry. You can count on them continuing to use cheapest assembly line workers they can find, all to protect that current bottom line. Its unfortunately more profitable for them to pay the dealer to fix those problems that are discovered, which during the warrantee period will be a fairly low percentage of them. As soon as you have had your coach for a year, you are on your own.

Just imagine how much a coach would cost if it was regulated by our government.
