On Demand Hot Water

My recent purchase of a 2019 Freedom Elite came with an on demand hot water heater. I have watched the youtube videos on the Girard tankless water heater.
It seems to work as designed except for the bathroom sink, the hot water faucet opened up full blast will not activate the water heater.

does anyone know how to increase the flow of water to the sink faucet or adjust the hot water heater to recognize a smaller flow of water??

Thanks.

When you say full blast is the water pressure as much as the kitchen sink or shower? Also have you checked to see if they did not reverse the connection of the cold and hot lines at the bathroom sink?

Could the strainer on the sink be to blame for not enough flow to trigger the heater?

Take the strainer off, perhaps there are some debris blocking the flow.

I agree: check for something blocking the flow first... Good luck!

Or you can get one of these shower heads:

I just had an issue like this. The water heater manual says that it needs 45 psi min to operate, i was only running 35 psi. I spoke with a person from Thor and they said you could run your pressure up to 60 psi with no problem and my water heater would work better, that I would not get temp changes while using hot water. I set my pressure to 50 psi and it is working better.

I had debris blocking the water flow in my kitchen faucet. Took it apart and removed flow restrictor that was clogged and discarded.

There is a adjusting valve on the rear of the unit, usually a small white round knob. Hope you have access to the rear of the heater, on ours I would have to remove a storage wall to get to it.

My tankless water heater is keeping the water too hot. Have a digital thermostat in the bathroom, we turn it all the way down to 95 degrees and it still pushes out 115 degrees. What could be the problem with the water staying too hot?

there should be a sensor or thermostat connected to the control board in the heater (accessible form the outside).

something else that worked for me was to power cycle the board. theres a switch and fuse in there. you can eather pull the fuse or turn off the switch. wait about a miniute then reinstall the fuse or turn on the switch. wait about 30 seconds then try your 95 again.

Are you having the same issues on city water and water pump?
