Dexter screen door slide replacement
Does anyone have a creative solution on a replacement slider for the Dexter screen door? Ours cracked soon after it was new. Granddaughter finished it off by trying to open the door with the slide. Buying a Dexter replacement will surely not last. Hoping to find a slider made of more durable, flexible PVC instead of that clear brittle plastic Dexter.
Looks to be unique design so a universal replacement may not be the answer.

If I were you I would contact Dexter directly and express your concern, maybe they have upgraded the part? At least they will be aware of the problem.

I've never seen a non-dexter substitute. Got my replacement bubble for $40 from pacificrvmirrors.com.

Now I have the replacement door slide. It is the non-bubble kind...Can anyone tell me how you actually installed it?
