Awning oops...

Hey guys I did an oops this morning and clipped my slide awning on the garage door. Got lucky and just broke the mounts. Anyone have a recommendation for parts? I did a quick online search and most of the results showed some universal awnings. I'd really like to only replace the factory mounts and keep the same awning if possible. I'm sure this is a common mistake. Anyone have an advice for me or at least want to admit you have done this too and I'm not the only dummy out there hahaha

Lots of online RV parts stores carry replacement parts, they all say "back ordered"

. We ended up fully replacing the awning and hardware with one ordered from Carefree. Our original was also a Carefree and we were able to provide the part number.

Yes it was back ordered. What was originally told to us to be a 6 week wait in reality took from mid-April to Labor Day. Once we did get the part(s)- comes as one easy to install integral unit - it was was indeed easy to DIY the install. Took 2 of us less than an hour.

Order ASAP so you'll have it in time to install for the spring camping season. We could have paid a dealer to install, but they would have made some really good $$$ for the short time it takes to do the work.

We did save our damaged unit as the actual awning was not damaged, just some hardware on one end. We figure a few years down the road if the canvas is in need of replacement, at least we'll still have it.

Awesome! I'm ordering from Carefree today and I definitely plan on doing the work myself. Looks pretty simple to replace. I appreciate the info!

You need to decide what type you need. Usually Thor MC puts a list of accessories on the inside of one of the wardrobe doors. Most of the Patio Awnings are from: <https://www.carefreeofcolorado.com/>. Note: CofC makes 15 different types of patio awnings for RVs. Unless it is an OEM only, they will ship it to you direct. Even if it is an OEM only they will ship you all the parts you need.

All I would like is the left/rearward end cap. You'd think that would be an easy part replacement. Nooooo!

Carefree has 15 different models.

But only one installed on your RV and annotated on the build sheet label in one of your cabinets, or on your account on the Thor Owners Resource page for your VIN (used to create your account).

Carefree has 15 different models.

Usually Thor MC plant 750 uses the Latitude patio awning by C of C. Most parts are available from Amazon.

Assuming the model is 'Latitude', which I cannot verify (NO build sheet in any cabinet or door.), I am ordering thru Amazon the parts 16ACE27 linked me to.

Amazon's price is $3 cheaper than Carefree and no shipping--Carefree wants $30 shipping for a $29 part. Amazon has free returns if this is not the part.

(FWIW, the part Beau388 linked to is NOT correct)

Thanks all, if this is the part, I will make certain it never gets lost again--some how; some way!
