Dicor sealant or Flex seal for roof hairline cracks in seals

Hello, I'm a newbie to this forum. Newbie for owning an RV. We recently purchased a 2015 Thor Windsport. Upon washing and inspecting the roof seals, there are hairline cracks in some areas. I'm not sure what to use for sealing those. Dicor or Flex seal? Many thanks for your advice!

Dicor self leveling lap sealant. ONLY. Clean well first. Easy fix and keep a couple of tubes on hand.

Use EternaBond Tape. It comes in several different widths and lengths depending on your needs. Here is one example....

As preventative maintenance I put Eternabond Tape over every seam, joint, vent, ladder mount, antenna, etc. on the roof when I get a coach. Otherwise you are inspecting and then adding / replacing Dicor every 3 - 6 months. I only go up on the roof once a year now to clean the roof.

Dicor is a good product for what it is. The problem with Dicor is.... you have to keep a couple tubes on hand because there will be continued cracking, shrinking, etc. requiring routine maintenance.

I’m all about eliminating roof leaks permanently and eliminating continued maintenance. Dicor requires inspection and a reallocation every 3 to 6 months depending on environment conditions.

Place EternaBond Tape over the seams, joints, etc. once and forget it.

And keep a roll with you in the road. If a roof leak develops due to storm damage, low hanging tree branch, etc. just apply EternaBond to the rip, rear or crack once and continue to enjoy your trip without worrying about water damage. [emoji106]

forget you ever heard the word Flex Seal when it comes to RV roof. Decore and eternal bond only!

Apples and oranges. Still, a metal RV roof has me thinking. [emoji16] I have 2 small blemishes in my RV roof and I Flex Sealed them 3 yrs ago. The Flex seal is still bonded tight and it’s not even noticeable that there are 2” patches. You’d have to look hard to find them.

I use eternabond, but for extra protection I lay a bead of dicor along the edge of the eternabond tape.
I have done this on numerous rv's, and they never leaked afterwards.

I have used Dicor on some scratches in original caulking on the roof from trees in the Teton^s

Seems to be holding fine

The roof is exposed abut three months per year however

I used alcohol to prepare and clean the area

Tape certainly works well as needed

I carry a roll of the 4" wide stuff. I figure that width could fix just about any issue like a cracked skylight, tear in the roof, small hole, etc.
