Dip stick ? Thor Vegas 24.1 2014

Hello ! So we got our oil changed and when it was time to recheck the oil, we could not get the dip stick to go all the way back in ! I say we, as every tech at Valvoline tried as did me and my partner! Anyone know of this issue and or what could be the cause ? The dip stick itself looks to be fine ... we get it at about 2/3 the way in and it stops dead ... thanks !

Turn it 90° and try again.
Then 90, then 90.
Then 45, then 45
Until it works.
Mine is pretty particular about how it goes in.

Worst case is:
If it just won't work, and you didn't use oil between changes, you'll be fine without it.
Just plug the opening with something.

Even if you used oil between changes, just so you know how much you used.

I don't know for sure if a Ford has a
'low oil level light'
If it does, carry on, all will be fine no matter what.

Others will disagree.
I speak from experience.

Do what Duck said, rotate the dip stick. It shoud go back in. Perhaps put motor oil (or light grease?) on the entire dipstick to help it slide in when bent 45 or 90 deg?

The last time I changed my oil I used like 7 quarts to get to the top of the full line. I think the book says it holds 6 quarts. So if you plug the hold and change oil later you might go with 6.5 quarts?
