Dometic fridge

2011 (Damon) daybreak,

Dometic Dm 2652 lbx, fridge work fine. It does however, make a pulsating noise. Any ideas before I spend 12 hrs on hold with dometic?

Welcome to the forum. I was wondering if your Dometic fridge is equipped with a fan by any chance? I believe it may have been an option or sometimes folks install auxiliary fans in their RV fridges to improve cooling efficiency. Maybe it is time to replace the fan (bearing noise perhaps), if the fridge actually has one?

Thanks for the info, I had that switch in my last camper. Looked around for it already. No luck yet.

Some folks just hot wire a vent fan into the outside fridge boiler area space so it always runs when the fridge is on......or if its an after market unit it may have its own thermostat which controls on/off operation. This does not affect the boiler temperature (pipe stack is insulated) but does improve air flow through the lower to upper external fridge air vents. So a fan in the fridge space would be obvious; one in the outside fridge space requires the removal of the access panel for inspection. Even if you can't find a fan it might allow you to track down the noise source.

Good luck with your search for this mysterious noise...
