Trim piece on ACE 30.1

I've noticed this trim piece on the upper sidewall near the roof is deteriorating, and exposing the screws that I assume are there to attach the roof fiberglass to the sidewall. Does anybody know what this piece is called, and if there is a danger on getting moisture behind the sidewall, or it it more of just a decorative piece to hide the screws?

Has anybody had any experience matching the gold colored paint on the trim piece to the 2013 ACE?

The piece in question is called vinyl insert trim. They come in various colors with black, white and almond/beige being the most common colors. I replaced mine last year. It wasn’t hard to do. The insert protects the screws from weather and rusting. I ordered mine from etrailer.com

Thanks jimbo12! I just ordered some from etrailer.com. Is there any need to seal the top and bottom edges once installed?

No need to seal. The vinyl needs to expand and contract with the temperature. I’m glad you found them...it took me about 4 months to figure out what the insert was called.
