Double Pane Window Failure

I've got a 2017 Challenger LX still under warranty. The seal on one of the double pane windows has failed and there is condensation between the two panes. I took it into the dealer for repair authorization and they measured the window for replacement and didn't anticipate any problems getting approval from Thor for warranty replacement. However, I just heard back from them and Thor is refusing to replace the window. Thor wants to install a vent in the window, which they say will alleviate the moisture buildup. This sounds like a half-ass fix to me. Has anyone has a similar problem?

I think if it is still under warranty, Thor should replace the window.

What kind of vent? I’ve never heard of a vent in a sealed double pane window!

Yeah I think I'd call BS on that. Call Thor directly and get their side of the story.

If you are still under warrantee, Thor will replace it. The problem with double pane windows in an RV is they are subjected to different altitudes which cause the seals to fail. We had them in our former DP, replaced four or five under warrantee, and when we got rid of it, at least three were failing again. Our Gemini has single pane which I'm just as glad to have. I really can't tell any difference in heat or cold radiation between the double pane and the single, though I know double pane is the better insulator. IMO the reason its imperceptible, is because the majority of heat and cold radiation occurs though those very thin walls, which is something all RV's suffer from.
