So to clarify... you ran a jumper from the awning motor thru the switch directly to the battery?
If the fuse is good, then the switch is good and the motor is good. Either the connector at the motor on the factory installed wire or possibly the ground is bad since the fuse didn’t blow. A bad or intermittent ground wouldn’t allow enough current to flow so likely won’t blow the fuse and the motor won’t run. If it was shorted the fuse likely would have blown.
