driver's seat wobble

got a new (used) Windsport 34J 35600 miles.
hard enough to drive on bumpy highways but the swivel seat had some slack bouncing me and couldn't help it by tightening mounting bolt. I took it apart, removed the swivel mechanism. Drilled two opposing holes through the round center plates, one either side with seat mount centered to the steering column , enlarged holes to 5/16 and bolted it down. Doesn't swivel anymore of course, but a lot less wobble.
