To repair my engine would be anywhere from $2k-$4k depending on what he finds. This includes replacing all cam followers/rockers as a precaution, new cam, valve, piston, checking valve seat, as well as checking the engine in general to make sure nothing else is damaged.

Leaning towards the latter, as the engine only has 33k on it. I do find it odd that that this happened so soon. He suspects that the engine has possibly been over ran. Either that, or it's just a fluke.
In an earlier post you say the engine has 53K on it and here you say 33K. Which is it?

Repairing the engine comes with what type and length warranty? The Ford replacement engine comes with what length warranty? Is the Ford replacement the complete engine or only a short block? If short block, would any transferrable parts require work as well such as valve grinding, head shaving, etc...?

Did the previous owner provide the service records for the motorhome? Chances are the culprit may have been one oil change just before sale.

Yeah, sorry it has 33k. For whatever reason, I was thinking of my other vehicle.

Not sure what, if any, warranty would come with repairing it. The replacement engine does come with one, and I want to say it was 3yrs/100k miles, but that may have been the Jasper we were looking at. Far as I know, it would be the complete engine.

I do have service records, and there was an oil change not too long before it was put up for sale, as well as some other things, like brake work, but that was the only engine related item.

They can pull out the plug and just run a camera down the hole to check the damage or possibly no damage. If no damage in the cylinder just have the head replaced.

I noticed in one of your previous posts from last month you had a miss and you switched coils and still had the miss, is it possible the damage started a month ago?

Since you mentioned that this issue may have been present at the time of sale: is there any legal recourse against the seller possible?
(Not that I'm a fan of this kind of thing)
