Drop down bunk 2016 Thor Outlaw Class A

Wondering if anyone here has attempted to replace the tracks and motors?

Ours are buggered up to the point that it is unusable. Cant get new tracks as Lippert only provides the full kit.

I'd like to do it myself but wondering if anyone knows how difficult it might be.




FYI........ I know what caused my problem. We rent this RV and, well, renters being renters.....they do things owners don't like.
Now I just need to fix it......Thanks

No one has tried to perform this repair?

Probably no one has had this problem. Most problems with the overhead bunk are due to out of synch motors, not whatever's causing you to want to replace tracks. A few have had to replace one motor.

I think mine is just in the extreme. It's caused by being out of alignment, and that causes the gears to wear on the tracks just making it worse.

Oh well, I guess I have a nice water project ahead of me
