Help 15 foot thin tree scratch outside passenger side

Hi what is the lowest cost fix to remove a thin tree scratch on the outside of the passenger side of my coach?

If you can buff it out with existing materials: zero!

But how deep is it, and is it messing up your decals?

Adds character.

Like the state stickers each scratch tells a story.

In a couple of years when the decals are all cracking that scratch will be the least of your cosmetic issues.

If you have to get within 4 feet to see it then it is not a problem. As others have said such a scratch is not worth the time to think about it.

I’d care if it was mine. Try buffing it out with some fiberglass restoration product or even automotive paste cleaner/wax. “They” say not to use wax on the decals so maybe try it on the base surface first and then be careful on the decals. I expect you can at least improve it significantly with these simple home remedies. Vexing isn’t it? I scratched my passenger side mirror on a tree branch the very day we purchased our new rig. Couldn’t be avoided but still hurt.

I’ve been using Carnauba wax detailing my cars and trucks for well over 35 yrs including the decals. I’ve never had any issues. I’m not even sure what “they” would be concerned with regarding waxing the decals. Same as my coach they are vinyl graphics. Car wax won’t hurt them.

We had some real deep scratches on our motorhome. I use Turtle wax Color magic, They have different colors. Seems to last for a good while. Hope this helps.

If you don't have a power buffer just use some of this per instructions. Then, use your usual wax. https://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Wax-Po.../dp/B0009JKGJ2

3 M makes a "cleaner/wax" I buy it from West Marine for the boat and the RV. It's expensive (like $35 for a good sized bottle. Works wonders with moderate effort. Good Luck!
