2015 Vegas 25.2 Front End Allignment

My RV is in the shop for its yearly tune-up. I have taken it on two trips since buying it last summer. Because of this forum, I had them do a front-end alignment. Now I really didn't find that the alignment was bad driving it for nearly a month on the road. BUT, to be safe, I had them check it. And when I just talked to them they said that the alignment was WAY off. I can't wait to pick it up tomorrow and feel the difference!

So THANK YOU all for making me check it.

When we picked up our Windsport after the alignment I could not believe it was the same vehicle! Due to the white knuckle ride home from the dealership we put a Roadmaster steering stabilizer and adjusted the tire pressure to the 82# specified on the tag in the coach and that made a big improvement but nothing compared to the alignment. We did the stabilizer at 400 miles and waited until we had 1800 miles on it for the alignment. I wish I had done it sooner. Safe travels.

Front end alignment

I was told by Thor tech that alignment is not needed if vehicle is not "pulling" right or left. Mine is not pulling. Was I told correctly?

Our Windsport was not pulling either way, yet was more than 1/2" out of spec. It just did not drive well. I was told we would have ruined the front tires very quickly if the alignment had not been done. Check out some of the other threads about handling issues and see how many people have found that their alignment was way off. Good luck.

Rich,
What he said. Out of alignment wheels will cause undo tire wear.
