Question DVD connection to TV

I did my forum searches but couldn't find anything.

2020 Thor Omni BH35

I have the Insignia TV on the swing arm up on the overhead bunk. Just above the passengers seat is a cabinet with the DVD player platform. On the side of the cabinet is a place to plug it in and the button for the Winegard but NO HDMI port or anything to connect the DVD player to the TV. Is this right? Am I missing something? Thanks

BH35 owner here.

I'm not sure from your message, did your rig come with the DVD player? Mine did, and was wired to the TV by a cable that runs out of the cabinet, under the fascia of the bunk, and out to the TV at the base of the mount stalk.

Yes it did come with 1 DVD player. When I got it the DVD player was connected to the TV in the bedroom. Not sure why one BH35 would have the front DVD player connected but not another.

How was the DVD player connected to the bedroom TV? Is there a splitter? A dedicated HDMI line ran to the bedroom?

The bunk TV has an HDMI input... all you need is a splitter and a short length of HDMI cable.

Well, the bedroom TV in the BH 35 is at the other end of the coach from the bunk TV, so it's maybe 20 feet away. A splitter wouldn't be a good solution from the bedroom.

If however, you have an HDMI cable from the cabinet to the TV, a splitter might be a good option. If not, it's possible to run a cable, but it's a fair bit of work from what I've read. You might consider a wireless HDMI transmitter/receiver. It's a bit of change, but it's easier to install and you can expand it to the bedroom TV easily if you decide you want to.

I was reading that the DVD player was in a front cabinet, not in the rear bedroom. So the problem is that there is no video cable from the front cabinet to the bedroom TV? If so, that's indeed an oddball... never expected that on a newer coach.

same here, the DVD cables go to the main TV and Outside TV only. Nothing to the Bedroom TV. But there was a HDMI cable to the bedroom TV. Took a few weeks and a trip to CW to find out...It is for the HDMI port next to bed! So you can hook up your Roku and watch TV Nothing in any manual...
