Squeaking Awning

We have not been able to use our 2016 Thor Vegas 24.1 for a time due to sickness and are now doing maintenance to catch up.

The big issue now is the squeak in the awning system when I extend or retract the awning. The squeak starts when the awing is almost fully extended. Unfortunately I have not been able to find any information in the maintenance books to help me. I suspect that lubrication is needed but should I first lubricate the roller or the pins on the arms that support the awning or am I way off?

I use a little WD40 on most of the moving parts/pivot points of our awning. I even wipe the exposed rods of the assist cylinders with a rag with WD40 on it. Also since your awning hasn't been used much, make sure the track on the wall of your coach is clean and free of any debris. Good luck

I use a spray lube from WalMart. It is called 3 in 1 RVCare slide out silicone spray. I use it on the awning, the quickie steps, the slide track, just about everything that moves.
