I cannot praise Southwest RV in Glendale, AZ enough, They have been very good to deal with the two service appointments and the minor repairs I have had them do.

Can I ask what chassis (350 or 450) and what transmission (5 speed or 6 speed) you have?

Full agreement with having a great dealer, makes all the difference. Only issue we have had was I had to threaten to walk out during closing when the finance person wouldn't take NO for an answer on the extended warranty...

I have a 2014 24.1 e-350 with 5 speed. Also had them check washer pump(never used), worked fine.

Checked my 2015 Thor Vegas(2014 chassis). The cable is very close to the exhaust but not touching, still, the rubber coating on the cable is burning away.

I believe you are starting to see the beginning to the end of the Axis/Vegas as well as Class Cs as we know them.

Ford has only committed to continue the E Series through I believe 2017. The first step, eliminate the E350. Reason, bodies can be adapted up easier than down. Emergency vehicles may not be as adaptable to the E350 as motorhomes are adaptable to the E450.

I believe you will only see the Axis/Vegas for 2 maybe 3 more years (2018 on 2017 chassis) and then it is gone. Thor is not going to publish this because who wants to buy a motorhome that starts loosing support in a couple of years. They will not want to reduce sales on one of their largest selling products.

I could be wrong and only time will tell.
My 2018 Thor 24.1 is coming on a 2017 E-350 chassis.

Bruce this is a very valuable post. I look under my 2015 Axis that I just purchase and happy to find no problems with the cable and the cable routed away from the manifold.
Its post like this that confirms that this is a must forum for all RV owners.
thx again
