Electrical smell near breaker box

I have had a few times that i smelled an electrical smell coming from under the bed circuit breaker box area ( 2015 ACE 29.2). This only happens when the A/C is on - happened both on gen & shore power so i dont think its the converter. I looked for loose connections and didnt see any, never had a circuit breaker blow--- any thoughts on trouble shooting it ?

Check all connections that have wire nuts, they have been known tobe loose. There several posts about it on the forums.

Check the main circuit box under the bed. Take the cover off and check inside the box. That's where my short was, caused by two wires rubbing together and wearing through the insulation.

Check the splices inside the transfer switch. Should be in a small plastic box. We've seen a lot of posts on this topic.

Transfer switch. Loose wire nuts inside. I would open the cover and check for burned wires or signs of overheating. Hopefully you can avoid a melt down inside the switch as I have had. Don't be too surprised when you find the xfer switch that half the fun will be gaining access to it enough open the cover.

Found a Thor Safety issue

Thank you for the lead to look into the transfer switch - not easy - had to slide the fuse panel out of the way - but i found two burnt and melted wire nut connections. fixed them - and am looking for better connectors and i will re-do the entire box after this trip, Thank you for the help.

This is getting to be a high priority problem just like new RVs needing alignment.
