New house batteries

We have our Windsport in the shop getting a flat tow set up installed on it and our 2014 CRV. We have decided to replace the house batteries while it is in, as they are the original batteries and are beginning to show their wear. We want to go with ACM maintenance free batteries, and our shop guys are recommending Optima Blue Top, specifically the D27M. I'm seeing mixed reviews. Anybody had any experience with Optima? They are being sold through Interstate.

As always, looking for to, and appreciate your replies, comments, and suggestions.

Those are dual-purpose, 66 AH, non-deep cycle batteries. At $300 each I'd pass.

16ACE27/Ted & Melinda,
Thanks for your input. True, they are touted as dual purpose, but show up either at the top or close to the top in most all the 2020 top ten lists I've googled, for best RV battery for dry camping/boondocking?

What would you recommend? what kind of house batteries do you use in your rig?

Thanks,
JoeB

For 300 bucks unless they will last 15 years wouldn’t even think about it. We just got a normal deep cycle battery from Les Schwab for 109 bucks and it will last 4 to 5 years easily.
