Engine heat is not working

This spring I purchased a 2016 Thor Vegas 24.1 and not until recently I realized the heat doesn't work. The blower is fine and the actuator for the modes (defrost, vent, floor) is fine. I can't seem to locate the the actuator for the temp blend door. Can anyone help point me to that? Could it be a separate fuse for just that? other suggestions?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Is you temperature knob actually turning the shaft? Common breakage area.

The temp controls are an electronic module and not a cable linkage. Are you saying the knob may be spinning on the post?

Very first thing to check is the coolant level in the radiator. If to low the system will not supply hot water to the heater system.

Hello, as someone else has said first and formost check the radiator fluid. Also maks sure the thermostat is not stuck open. Please tell us what a/c unit you have, is it a evans tempcon unit? If it is the heater control valve that allows antifreeze into the heater core is on the left side of the engine bay as you look at it near the firewall of the vehicle. Should have two lines connected to it and an electrical connection. These sometimes freeze up from lack of use' The unit is about 4 inches wide and 5 inches long and will have two heater hoses going to it. Good luck and hope this helped some

It's 'towed', not toad.

Take it to a shop that can see it and they will answer questions they have by interpreting what they see.

We're just guessing.
If the coolant is low on a modern vehicle you likely have problems greater than a heater control.

The blend door and actuator can be found in front of the firewall at the front of the passenger footwell. The passenger footwell is where the air return is. The other side of that- front hood side is where the blend door is- you can’t miss it- big box top left. The blend door is moved by an actuator that is electrical.

Sorry hit submit too soon… that blend door is for recirculating fresh / cabin air- not likely what you are looking for. Near that actuator though, you should find another actuator - this one is attached to 1” radiator hoses- the actuator turns on and off coolant (hot) from the engine to the heater coil. That actuator could be bad. It is electrically operated. It has a pert number on it- look it up, find a third party product and off you go. Likely around $60. Of course before you go buying parts, check the actuators are actually actuating!!! You might be lucky- if you find a direct replacement, you might be able to replace the actuator and not the valve attached to the actuator. Good luck, happy hunting..

I had a similar situation with my 2023 24.1. The AC was intermittent then stopped for good. I spent way to much money between Ford and the RV dealer and nobody could figure out the problem. My computer tech and I opened it up and traced the entire system, turned out to be a $38 part. . . a simple thermostat that had failed.
