Engine light

Hello new to the forum, need some help. I have a 2013 freedom elite with a Check engine light on. The scanner I have does not read or power up on the under dash OBD connection looking at the old fashioned way of reading codes with a paper clip for the GM model I have but the two wires needed to jump and activate the codes via the engine light are not in the connector. Has the diagnostic connection been moved?

ODBII has been a standard since long before your RV was made. Try another scanner.

I may have to purchase a scanner that utilizes an external power supply

If there was one, which I seriously doubt, it would not adhere to the ODBII standard.

You can always go to an O’Reillys or an advanced auto and they’ll scan it for you and tell you what’s going on

I have thought of it and may have to, I don’t have a lot of faith in the kids they hire theses days we lost a lot of experience at the counter over that last few years.
