Question Engine Starting Issues on 2014 Freedom Elite

Have had numerous starting issues with my RV; if I didn't start engine for 2-3 days vehicle battery would be completely dead. Sometimes a jump worked, now it doesn't. Long story short, RV has a Chevy 6.0 liter V8; Chevy says separate solenoid was installed by THOR to connect vehicle/house battery. Any harm in me disconnecting this solenoid and just connecting vehicle battery as shown in Chevy wiring diagram? I feel the additional solenoid is kaput, and something in RV is draining vehicle battery... any thought/suggestions?

Before you start disconnecting the solenoid, or modifying wiring, I suggest you first check out the chassis' starting battery.

Since your vehicle may be between 3 and 4 years old, the problem "may" simply be a bad battery.

There are places that can test your battery for little or no cost. I'd personally rule out the easy stuff first.

Battery issues

Had battery checked (3 yrs old) and was replaced with new; still no crank or start. I'm going to connect battery as shown in Chevy wiring diagram (No external solenoid, no disconnect switch and see if it starts or at least cranks...

Smile Problem solved

Turns out it was a short in chassis fuse panel. Entire panel was replaced ($600.00 !!!) and no more starting issues...
