On a couple of the other rv forums I frequent there are several RVIA certified technicians that agree with that "RV expert" that it's the perfect fix for rips/tears but not to cover entire seams or around other items that may need to be repaired/replaced due to the reviews you've mentioned, it last FOREVER & is NOT removable.
See post #16.
If you chose to apply it to your roof then please by all means go for it, just pointing out a possible issue down the road.

Well, that post took 13 seconds to debunk.

https://www.rvwithtito.com/articles/...ernabond-tape/
Pictures, examples, an actual removal in photos.
The above link and 100 others.

$2,000 and an on-line self-paced, multiple-guess curriculum gets you rvti certified.
Do you think anyone had ever failed to get certified for reasons of grades?

Yeah, I was going to say anything is removable. Some things just take more effort.

How do you remove the scars left by a bad marriage ending in an ugly divorce?

Eternabond is removable. Takes deliberate effort, but definitely removable. I once helped a friend remove some poorly applied Eternabond from his trailer.

I cover every seam on every RV I've owned (4 now) with no water intrusions so far, in 18 years. I use the 4" stuff and don't think the cost is unreasonable. Dicor has its place, but Eternabond is for the long run.

Ive seen several people say the cost is high for eturnabond. $50 bucks for 50 ft is cheap imo. I can do my 29m for $100 with some left over, thats if I dont screw it up :0

Now there is additional costs, good heavy roller and cleaner. DOing all the seems for $200 is pretty reasonable to me. Ill hopefully get it done this season but Im pretty lazy these days

As I said, go for it!
Just pointing out some of the negatives!
As for those technicians I've mentioned & highly respect their advice I'm not passing on YOUR opinion on how they became certified, I'll take their advice over yours any day of the week & twice on Sunday.

It's not my opinion of how they were certified, its how they are certified. I know its true+-. Dollar amount might Have changed for initiation, individual certificates like the 'roofing expert' might now be $50 instead of $30.
You're just a 10 second search from learning how they are certified.

You provided proven false information when you typed telling it was irremovable.
You misunderstood what they said or they're just plain stupid. No other choices.

You didn't point out a negative, you posted a definitive saying it was irremovable. You wrote how experts said it was irremovable.

And now you want to argue about it.
A link is provided showing where your techs were wrong, why you were wrong in repeating their SPEW and you won't recognize the link or bother to look up to see if they're wrong.

I didn't post a single opinion in that post.

This place is getting out of hand with wives tales passed on as factual data and posters refusing to acknowledge a lacking of knowledge when proven wrong.

Last week it was a texas law in a link, and denied as real, today it's denying 100 videos and testimonies of the removal of some tape.

Be gracious, watch a man remove the tape in that link, and rethink your position.

There is no need to confuse people with tales of tales.
Post a link. I did.

Everyone is entitled their opinion, and they're just that opinions no one more correct or better than the other. Dicor or Eternabond tape, each will do the job it's intended for, pick one that works or makes sense to you and use it.
I do the Dicor maintenance but also have the tape for incase emergency. I have never had a leak and thankfully have never had to use the the tape for an emergency.
So no need to get defensive when someone disagrees with your method.

Used 6 inch eternabond on roof seams.. Cleaned the old dicor, with mineral spirits. (apply to rag not the roof). Sealed seam with fresh Dicor. Waited a few weeks for Dicor to set. Applied the tape and rolled out with the 2 inch steel roller with the radiused edge from BestMaterials. Sealed edges of tape with Dicor. Sealed around vents and skylight with Dicor..

From what I've seen, rv expert finds eternabond very difficult to remove, much worse than dicor. As someone cautioned above, don't put it where you may have to remove it. He also sees lots of eternabond failures. As he usually notes, eternabond is not eternal, and it's a problem removing it even after its surface has failed and cracked. He thinks it's great to patch torn rubber roofs. Also, I've only seen it used over dicor rather than the primary sealant. I'm mystified at the poor roofing products chosen by the RV industry. The fact that dicor requires constant checking and topping up is bizarre. I'm used to boats and they do a much better job at caulking. There's another rv roofing guy in alabama who does nothing but rv roof replacement with welded tpo. He likes sika products like sikaflex, a brand I'm familiar with from boats. He thinks dicor is no good, and it's frequent failure is a gold mine for the manufacturer. His favorite twist on rv roof maintenance advice regarding dicor is "pour more on, moron."

Yes!
But didn't you know that for a $1.98 & an hour and on the internet ANYONE can be a rv expert? NO one can fail!

There's no one called "RV Expert" on Youtube, even if there was there are a lot of people who make their living on Youtube, most of them not really experts on their content. At least on a forum, the OP gets multiple opinions from a variety of posters with a variety of experience in the topic of discussion.

There is a Youtube channel named "AZ Expert" which features a mobile RV tech documenting some of his experiences in troubleshooting and repairing RVs. I've been drawn to his channel a few times but found that too frequently he is not really an expert on the problem at hand.

So the bottom line is, don't believe everything you see on the Internet. Gather information from multiple sources and make your own decision regarding the source and the information provided.
