Exterior Storage Compartment Cam Locks

Hello, new rv, but same struggles, the keyed lock you use to secure your storage doors, frequent problems getting these adjusted right. Trying lubing with silicone, but either key won't rotate, or rotating key rotates entire lock core, or the screw holding the flange which secure the storage door inside the unit comes loose etc.

I've lubed, ensured no interior compartment issue with obstruction, loose trim, etc, tightened and loosened nut around threaded tube lock goes through, tightened loosened screw holding flange in place, seems eventually I'm setting up or getting ready to leave and I'm fighting with a lock that won't open/close.

Whew, sorry for the rant, I'm open to suggestions on replacing these, but I'm on the road right now so any suggestions on adjusting these are greatly appreciated.

Thank you, from on the road in Vancouver Island, British Columbia!

I couldn't see the need for locks on all of my compartment doors. So I replaced them with these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...e?ie=UTF8&th=1

Oddly the shower door didn't use the same key as the others and I didn't have one that fit. No problem, I just jammed a screw driver into the key slot and twisted. Bingo, it came free! Tells you how worthless the locks are.

If you fully disassemble the lock you'll probably find corrosion/rust in the cylinder. Clean it, cover with lithium grease and reassemble.
