Exterior television turns on by itself!

2015 Thor Axis 24.1, exterior tv powers up by itself! The TV brand is “Continu US”. Anyone experience this? Any advice on how to remove the tv or at least disconnect it? Thanks for any advice.

When has this happened?
My simple guess: someone nearby has a remote that is compatible with it.

But that's without any further information...

What have you tried when trying to disconnect it?

Change the batteries in the remote. What other remotes do you have? Awnings? Lights?

If it's inside a storage compartment it is plugged into an outlet in the ceiling.

You could simply unplug it...

Look under the cabinet behind the drawers on the back side of the TV cabinet. You should see where the TV is plugged into a 120 VAC outlet.

I don't think your “Continu US” TV is OEM equipment for you Axis and it appears their website is under construction although they do have a seller presence on Amazon. Maybe you can contact them that way.

Their old website has a phone number of 855-423-2181

We have a JVC TV at home in our guest bedroom that turns itself on whenever there is a power failure, no matter how brief. We've gotten to the point where we keep it unplugged unless the room is occupied.

Do your guests have to wait for a power failure; in order to watch some TV?

If you really want them to leave quicker: disable the on-screen channel guides...
They'll be left watching just the Weather Channel!

Thought?

Depending on how you shut down? i.e. if you turn the TV off before Inverter is turn off or leave TV on and then inverter is turned off or loss of power; and then with the restore of power from shore or inverter it may be that it comes back on?

We have 3 Insignia TVs and I think I have seen that or something similar. We also noticed that remote intended for TV in main coach area wil turn on/off Bedroom TV when not intended.

With brand name "Continu US" .... that sounds like a feature, not a bug.
