F53 Lubrication/grease points

Does anyone have a handy-dandy graphic or exploded diagram showing all of the grease/lubrication points under the F53 chassis? When I change the oil, I try to grease the ones I can see on the front end. I just want to make sure I’m getting grease to all the parts that need to be lubed. I know, the jokes write themselves on that last sentence... but let’s focus people!

PS: Do you call them zerks or alemites? Where I’m from, they’re alemites!

I have used the provided chart to locate all the grease points. My question for those in the know is number 9. There is a rubber cap over the zerk, I tried once to put grease in but it would not accept any. Am I missing something?

Did grease come out at the attachment point at gun to zerk, can you get grease in the others fittings

I had to change out the tip on my gun it wouldnt seal on a couple of zerks

I have the opposite problem with that fitting. I cant fill it up. I called Ford and was told to just give it a couple of shots from the grease gun i thought we should always fill until a bit of old grease comes out

Anyone with knowledge on this

Jerry

I had no problem with the other zerks taking grease. Yes grease would come out at the connection point. Thanks halfprice will keep trying or get a new fitting.

I replaced my grease gun tip with one of THESE locking tips. Not cheap but boy oh boy is greasing a lot easier. Also replaced the gun hose with a 36".

Are these the only points? Are there any points in the back end?

There are 1 or 2 along the driveshaft.. I expect varies by how much the original chassis was stretched.

Thanks for that reply. I did some digging and found the driveshaft points on an F53 chassis. We've all seen the front points.

Hello all- I have worked on Idaho Norland snow blowers, piston bully snow cats , and the old bombardier cats, heavy equipment caterpillars. And some actually have very small Steering gearbox-that you grease Through a grease needle to the steering gear, no zerk fitting, just a plug not sure if this helps. And some we used 90 w gear oil. And now that I think of it the FJ 40 Toyota Land Cruiser use grease in the steering knuckle through a needle, you pull the plug and stuffed it full of Grease until it cames out. ok I have had one glass of wine to many ....

My 2019 F53 chassis does not have any grease fittings on the driveshaft. Looks like everything is sealed.

Mine too. 2019 F53. As far as I know the 9 front end fittings are all there are.

Driveshaft? You mean universal joints? Why would a driveshaft need to be greased?

Yes I ment the universal joints on the driveshaft and idler bushings. No zirk fittings.

Not sure if these F53's have them, but older vehicles use to have a grease fitting on the slip joint of the driveshaft. Not sure if there or not now. Thx, Dennis.

I have never greased my 2021 Thor ACE 33.1 (F53). I am about to. So my question is.... just pump/squeeze grease until grease comes out from the connection point? Is that for all 9 grease points?

But don’t overdo it. You can blow out a dust seal which isn’t especially helpful. 3 or 4 “pumps” is all I do at every oil change.
