50amp Rig at 30amp site, Surge Protector

Howdy,
I have researched this a bit in the search.
Found info of 50 for 50 or 30 for 30

My rig is a 50amp rig
I use a 30-50 dogbone for the 30amp sites

Surge protector
Do I get a 50 amp protector
Therefore no matter if I am at 50 amp or 30 amp site I am still protected?

or does a 30amp site require a 30 amp protector

Rather not have to pay the price for both a 30 and a 50

I would think that you'd want the 50 amp version: you could use it even when you're actually at a "50 amp pedestal" also.
... and still "dog-bone it down" for a 30 mp hook-up...

Since your rig is a 50 amp service go with the 50 amp surge even if you have to use a 30 amp pole.

Get the one native to your coach.

For a 50 amp coach get a 50 amp model.
For a 30 amp coach get a 30 amp model.
