Water pump

Have a 2016 Thor Palazzo our pump chatters and we don't have much pressure I thought perhaps our filter was plugged since we haven't changed this filter so we struggled to open the canister because it's in such a tight place and low and behold when we opened the canister No Filter so it came from the factory without a filter so now How do we get to the pump my guess is there is some debris in the pump. We have had a filter on the hose but I think some sediments have gone past it. We r hooked up on a country well and with the rains when we filled the tank I'm sure we got some sand

Guess my concern is the lack of detail by not installing a filter!!!!!!

On my Miramar I also have a small "screen" filter near the pump. I simply unscrewed it, cleaned out the grit stuck in the screen and the chatter went away. I clean it a couple times a year because is so simple to do and each time I find silt on the screen. Obviously the filter doesn't get it all.
